Not to play 'devils advocate' or whatever you'd prefer to call it, but i'd rather 'blue' make it PERMANENTLY ILLEGAL to ever consider doing [INSERT BAD THING] to [INSERT GROUP HERE]. Holding the vote hostage because 'if you vote red, they'll do [INSERT BAD THING] to [INSERT GROUP HERE], so not voting for us every time means you implicitly support doing [INSERT BAD THING]'

Stop Killing Games is an initiative to make live-service single player games or [where possible] multiplayer games have an end-of-life plan so they can be played after they shut down. Example given was The Crew, a single player game with live service elements that was fully shutdown and is entirely unplayable, and was removed from peoples' libraries despite it being a paid game

Piratesoftware, who works for Offbrand Games, who made RoA2, made multiple statements calling the head of SKG both stupid (used multiple insults but boils down to stupid) and a bad faith actor. He also did not read the initiatives nor did he actually listen to any points made in the video about the initiative

I mean I'd consider if they didn't have the most 'viral' and most vocal critic of the Stop Killing Games movement

Live service game that employs the streamer that rallies for the live service game model even on single player games is a massive NO

They're likely citing Wakefield, he's been having a resurgence in US media

Gut disorders are correlated with autism

Autism is not correlated with gut disorder

That is both the research and the current scientific consensus

For the record, the study they're likely citing was the one that tested less than 15 kids, 3 or more of which did NOT have autism, and the then-doctor permanently crippled one of them in the process of testing for the digestive-neural autism link

(The entire study exists because he wanted to discredit a vaccine to sell his own)

tbf most countries charge for foreign patients to use their system, but tbb if he was shedding a light on what a more socialized system looks like would unsour a lot of americans' view on it

personal anecdote but most of the people around me believe that all socialized medicine happens to be is waiting lines/lists, death panels, and "state-assisted death"

imo if he wanted to "cure blindness" he would have paid to fly the people to a country with socialized medicine (for less money than he paid to "cure" their blindness) and advocate for a system that could prevent their blindness in the first place

I can promise you that the 'dont recommend' rarely works, and if used on Youtube Music it will actually show it to you as if you liked the video, even if you disliked it on regular Youtube
