Apparently, Kbin users can also see what Lemmy users upvote them. Is that correct?

No, what I mean is that any user can randomly start sending DMs to another user and I don't want any DMs.
Blocking is an action when the DM was already received.
if not most mobile apps don't even support DMs at all, so you can use those.
Thanks for the suggestion, but that's not a suitable work around for me.
I use Voyager and consider it by far the best client, but I'm not going to switch apps because Lemmy doesn't allow DMs to be blocked.
It's also not just about hiding, but the sender should be aware the DM cannot be send.
You cannot block a user that already send you a message.
You also cannot delete a DM unless the administrator helps you. If you receive abusive material you're more or less stuck with it.
I don't want DMs, but I must accept them now.
The thing is, there's no benefit whatsoever.
That's not entirely true of course. A native app allows for certain interaction with the OS that is restricted when it's a PWA.
For example: I doubt the Voyager PWA can interact with Shortcuts on iOS/iPadOS/macOS at all in comparison to some native apps for which the developers integrated Shortcut support.
That said, one of the reasons why I personally like Voyager is that it's cross platform. No more 'What platform are you using?'. One can simply refer to vger.app and be done. Would be even better if you can sign up under Voyager as well.
That's indeed pretty funny :)
That's funny indeed :)
Thanks,
Dutchy here.
Why?
OK, interesting. There are multiple ways apparently.
If you start typing
@user
then you'll get a dropdown box,
If one uses the web-interface. But who uses the web-interface. It's slow and clunky. A client is much faster.
Isn't that weird?
Kbin users can see it, admins can see it, but Lemmy users cannot.
