It's a variant I've created from the original meme.

I haven't tried it yet, I just found out about the project last night. I hope someone would make a package for yunohost so I could easily self-host it 🤞

I've encountered the same need as you, but I haven't found anything either.

The idea would be to have a project similar to the famous wayback machine but decentralized and federated.

People could host a personal instance to save or read web pages they want to save or read later. The big difference with a project like Wallabager for example is that they could also access web pages that other instances have saved.

I've been here since the beginning of 2020, a few weeks ago I was regretting that this project wasn't very popular so now I'm delighted to see this craze for Lemmy/Kbin and federated tools in general. I hope it will continue, welcome to all ^_^/ Power to the people.

I like syncthing but if I tell my father or my mother to install it and configure it... he will never succeed ^^ the interest would be to have an application easily usable by everyone without worrying about the technique or having third party applications to install.

Personally i think that word of mouth is much more important than search engine ranking for a community project like Lemmy.

It's not necessarily one or the other, it can also be one and the other :)
