I know 1.7.10, 1.8.9, and 1.12.2 exist. I'm not sure the story behind them, I just know they are common versions people like to play still. 1.8.9 for PvP and Hypixel and 1.12.2 for 2b2t. I'm not sure about 1.7.10 though.

I answered. Most of my concerns with the survey have been addressed in other comments. Regardless I hope it leads to good results.

GNU's Hurd was supposed to be this iirc. That clearly hasn't gotten far and hasn't been progressing quickly.
