Personally just grabbed it from their release page: https://github.com/SUSE/suse-font/releases/tag/v1.000. Then dropped those files into my ~/.fonts, directory.

You're likely to have been given a number which was previously used a fair amount. You could call your phone company and ask for a new number. At least that's how it works here.

Oh good point...

Will leave this one here in case anyone wants a look. A launcher called Neo Launcher, very smooth and customizable one.

Our little (6months) Nori girl, has just been to the vet to get castrated. What a champ she was! She's now recovering from the surgery, giving her unlimiteds (and much deserved) amounts of cuddles.

On the picture she's still drugged and asleep, even though her eyes are open. She was given eye gel to not have her eyes dry out too.

We've put her cat tower down on the floor so she doesn't have to jump to get into it. And made extra sleeping spots on the floor with warm wooly blankets. Got treats of all kinds and water bowls place in different spots for easy reach.

How's peoples experiences been with this process (the aftermath)? We got some painkillers for her to take daily, for 6 days. Any tips on making cats swallow pills easily? Is there anything extra one could do for the cat?

Have a nice day, and don't forget to cuddle your cat a little extra 😻

Today we’re announcing $18M in new funding from an incredible set of investors, with a $17M Series A-1 round led by Spark Capital, with Buckley Ventures, Anzu Partners, Cooler Master, and Pathbreaker Ventures participating. We started just over four years ago with a vision to remake consumer electronics to respect people and the planet. We chose to take on the notebook space first to prove that it’s possible to fix even the most mature, competitive categories with an excellent product that is simple to repair, upgrade, and customize. We’ve continued to increase our sales and market share substantially each year as the industry broadly has struggled. It’s clear that our commitment to longevity is resonating. It’s ultimately your belief in our mission and products that drives our success.

When we closed a Series A round two years ago, we shared our strategy around fundraising, which is to raise as little as possible and focus funds on efficiently expanding the reach of our mission. You can now see the results of that investment with Framework Laptop 16 out in customers’ hands. With this new round, we’re continuing to deepen support for our existing customers, scaling the reach of our current products, and extending to additional product categories that let us empower new consumers and businesses. Ultimately, we need for everyone in the world to have the option for a longer-lasting product, no matter the category.

A core focus of this fundraise beyond taking in capital is bringing strategic connections and expertise. We chose each of our new investors based on their belief in our mission, the strengths of their teams, the companies they work with, and the reach of their networks. We’ve had a number of early partnership discussions with other startups in our investors’ portfolios, and we’re excited to share more about this as we deliver on the results. Cooler Master is a key strategic partner-turned-investor, having been both the supplier for our Framework Laptop 16 thermal system and the first company to join the Framework ecosystem with a compatible product, a case that enables Framework Laptop Mainboard reuse. We have additional collaborations with the Cooler Master team in incubation now.

There is one group of people who are more strategically important than any other: the Framework community. The third most common question we’ve gotten since starting Framework (after “AMD when?” and “Upgradeable graphics when?”) is “Can I invest in Framework?”. The answer is finally… possibly. In addition to the $17M of funds we’ve raised from traditional investors, we’re raising a $1M community round to enable 100 of you to invest $10,000 each in Framework. Investing in startups is approximately the riskiest place imaginable to put your money, and statistically, the most likely outcome for any individual early-stage startup investment is for it to become worthless. With that in mind, for both moral and regulatory reasons, we’re limiting participation to individuals and entities that meet the SEC’s Accredited Investor qualifications. This also allows us to publicly share the existence of this fundraising under the SEC’s 506(c) regulations. If you qualify as an Accredited Investor, believe in our mission and strategy, and are interested in investing in this round, you can get more details and apply here.

There’s one other way you can participate in our mission, which is to join our team! To actually drive the growth that our new funding enables, we’re adding a few key roles across Framework, including a Product Marketing Manager and a Supply Chain Manager. You can check out all of our open roles on our careers page. We’re eager to fix this industry together as quickly as we can.

Hiya, quickly wondering if anyone has had any issues with ABS not fetching/pulling latest podcast episodes? I added my podcasts via OPML, around a week ago, and it doesn't seem to be pulling in any new episodes. I've set a schedule to scan the lib each hour, but im assuming this feature is just for scanning for new local files and not fetching. Anyone got any tips on what to do here?

Latest:Firefox - Flatpak

The picture above is one example out of many websites (that have drag n drop features enabled). I'm not actually dragging or dropping anything, which makes this very frustrating, especially as I can't get rid of the bug either. If I reload, it will just happen again and again. As mentioned, this happens on ALL websites, including messaging platforms. What on earth could cause this? Just started happening last week or so.

It's honestly driving me 🥜🌰

Hiya, just quickly wondering if anyone know about a good tool for comparing Privacy policies against each other? Im currently downloading each PP, then using self-hosted StirlingPDF to compare 1 on 1. However, I am looking for a more efficient tool, to compare multiple at the time, if there are any. Any tool that can handle multiple PDFs or HTML files and look at the differences between them kinda tool.

Appreciate any suggestions! 🕵️

I keep finding new apps, so I'll keep sharing! Tonight's fish on the hook, is an Audiobook client for Jellyfin and AudioBookShelf, written in Swift/SwiftUI.

Apart from playing audiobooks, plappa also syncs playback status via iCloud and allows you to download audiobooks for offline listening. It currently runs on iPhone and iPad, a Mac and Apple TV version are planned - roadmap.

Github Repo

About

plappa requires a Jellyfin or AudioBookShelf Server to work. If you don't know Jellyfin or AudioBookShelf and would like to learn more, check out both at Jellyfin website or Jellyfin GitHub repo and AudioBookShelf website or AudioBookShelf GitHub repo.

Folder structure and formats for Jellyfin

plappa should be able to handle all common audio file formats, but is built for and tested mainly with MP3 and M4B files.

I always test plappa using the most common organization scheme for books, but other folder structures should work fine, plappa just searches for audio files recoursively, grouping by album.

Metadata

Most metadata will be taken from Jellyfin/AudioBookShelf, plappa additionally reads the composer field for the narrator name and (if applicable) chapters from the file metadata.

Roadmap

You can see the full roadmap in the plappa project, the short version is:

  • [x] iOS App with all basic features
  • [x] Carplay support (WIP)
  • [ ] Apple Watch App
  • [ ] Mac App
  • [ ] Apple TV App
  • [x] Support for AudioBookShelf servers (WIP)

Hey, Recently bought 2 new PS5 controllers to play on PC(BazziteOS), that's connected to a TV. I have the controllers connected to my network card (TP-Link Archer TX50E), that supports Bluetooth 5.0. However, while the PC is only 3 meters away from the TV and the couch, the controllers keep falling out due to bad connectivity. The PC is hardwired to Ethernet, and so are all other devices around, so struggling to think there can be wireless connections interrupting it.

Would really like to be able to play games on the TV. I also have an Nvidia Pro Shield connected to the TV(when the PC is not connected), but not able to think of a method I can have the controllers connected to the Shield instead, while still playing via the PC. Do I need to buy another, stronger Bluetooth adapter?

Anyone got any tips for the situation? Please share your setups/experiences regarding this, if you have.

Have a nice day 🌻

Came across this in-development app, that seems really clean. Is available for iOS/MacOS already. It will be available on PlayStore and Fdroid eventually, but there is an APK for those who want to try it out.

Make the most of your network. Get more play for your gamers. Download your games once and serve them out to many people at your LAN.

Had never seen this service before and randomly saw it in Unraid CA now. Thought I'd share this, as it seems like a very cool project, especially for those hosting LAN parties.

Are you running a Tor Relay? (self.privacyguides)
submitted 7 months ago* (last edited 7 months ago) by Sunny to c/privacyguides@lemmy.one

Hiya, so been on the lookout for different services that I could help host for others to benefit from. I think TOR is a great project, and I'd like to contribute. So been thinking about hosting a TOR relay lately, and wondering how people's experience is with running one? Please correct me if I'm wrong - but as far as I know, it only becomes "scary" to host, if you were to host an exit node? And the only real requirement to host a relay is to have a good internet speed? Mainly wondering people's experiences with running a relay.

Edit: Very well-timed and relevant upload from Techlore, on how to use Tor just dropped: https://youtu.be/K3wmLvny5tg
