Welcome to Holland, we've arranged good dikes, good infrastructure, social benefits and affordable healthcare for all.

How do we pay for all of it?

Yeah... You now know how. We pay a lot of tax. And I mean a lot. 17+ % VAT on everything. Cars have an extra tax called bpm of around 20%. So half the price of a car is tax. 1 litre (not a gallon!) of ron95? Over 2 euros. Etc. (because that's not all)

It's fun.

And thats why we are tall. Because if we weren't we would drown in our taxes ;)

So many games are lost in time due to this.

My favourite game off all time, Homeworld, got remastered years ago. Its fantastic follow-up, cataclysm could not be included in the renaster. The reason? Lost source code. No backups, studio got bought, diveded, merged, shut down and nobody thoight it prudent to safeguard that what they bought; the code and ip.

It happens. Often.

Assholes. Dumb whores. Leeches. Yeah, you really know how to motivate people and get them on-board!

Keep up the good work!

Which is bullshit. As a sysadmin i was battling with low level tcp/Ip filters and other shit since at least WinXP. And probably nt4sp3.

I've been saying that antimalware is worse or at least the same as the stuff it tries to protect against for decades. Invisible cpu cycles. Hidden disk io. Tcp filters. Maxing out your network connection trying to access every resource on your network. Assraping SNMP. Blocking network access when the license expires. (mcafee) criplling java code. (decompressing every jar known to man)

And most of this is still true. Is your pc slow or hanging without any visible reason? Chances are defender is doing some ultra secret very hush hush antimalware shit.

I always disabled everything on my own systems on my own private lan and did ferocious edge protection, log reporting and scanning everything from one node.

Then came ransomware. And the risk of running without on local nodes just became too big.

Anyway This has been an issue since forever. If anything it became less worse as of 09 because everybody got access to documentation so they finally learned what NOT to do.

Any (western designed) phone. It doesn't matter. All your data belongs to us. Them.

Discovery, especially the last 2 seasons are very, very inclusive. Which pisses some people off.

Next to that everything is debated. Sometimes way too long. And if you cant look past that it's sure to annoy you very much.

Hell no.

Are you u all living in rosy mc Rosewood Santa's little safe harbour everything is fine and dandy rainbow world? Or are you all lying through your teeth?

Letting someone in your home with clearly visible psychological issues, in your circle of trust, filled with those you hold most dearly and packed with your dearest memories, that place... And then letting someone in you know nothing about?

Hell fucking no.

In the real world letting some rando homeless dude in your home has a 50/50 chance of ending up in crazy town. There is a high probability that you, yours or your stuff get fucked up. I cannot and will not accept those odds. Even a 2% chance of shit happening is a risk I'm unwilling to take when it comes to my kids.

Would I help him? Maybe. It depends on some factors (like can I at that specific time, did I help him out earlier, do I have cash on hand) Would I let him in? No f-ing way.

So real answer: money: maybe, eat & drink: anytime. Clothes: I've got some you can have, no problem. Bath and clean: nope. Never.

No words.

Come to think of it maybe 3 sentences:

Burn the heretic. Kill the mutant. Purge the unclean.

Clancy Brown was way more impactfull then Lambert.

The amount of Highlander quotes you still hear to this day are mostly those of The kurgan.

Connery and Brown carried that movie. Lambert just went along for the ride.

Remember our agreement, Murdoch. The boy... Is mine.

The way how Clancy just spits out these one liners, in that growling voice. It's bloody fantastic. Cavill as mcloud is good and all, but it's all about who they cast for the Kurgan and Ramirez. And that they don't fuck the story up too much.

Hi. I'm candy. *Of course you are.. *
