apathetic white folk are apathetic because no one taught them fascism is real and enduring. black diasporas to urban centers and white flight to the suburbs have created an environment where they don't understand that the consequences of what is happening are real. it's not some made up shit. the constant stream of right wing media doesn't feel right wing to them. it feels like the truth. it is the truth they know. right now, we need to reach them. we need to break containment of our media bubbles and reach show them we exist, and we fear them, before we lose the chance to do so. and we can't do it through our screens. we're going to have to take to the streets and show them the truth. if you're a white man and you feel how i do right now, start paying attention in public spaces: where are the security cameras. where do the police frequently hang out. what are the movements around you. get that info to people with less privilege than you. pay attention to street art. where does it stay up long term, where does it get taken down fast? is there a difference depending on the kind of street art it is?

and the former kings of tuning the algorithms to favor seo that bubbled useful info up harder have thrown it all out in the name of impressing everyone with how space age and sci fi their tech is. it's not about advancing science or even pushing a useful product. it's strictly a tool for scams. is it a surprise that scammers are gaming the google scam better than anyone else? not really. they've always had a step up compared to the average internet denizen thanks to practice. this is why i get so frustrated when people dismiss ai skepticism as being a product of luddites.

  1. you're getting scammed to think ai will benefit you
  2. systems built by scammers will always benefit scammers
  3. the luddites were right. scientific advancements should benefit the workers, not the rich

and we've been trying for decades to reform our system for a better voting system. first past the post elections force strategic voting. that's the kind of elections we get. the only place where vote shares matter is for distributing public campaign finance funds.
