...so the (racist af) Tsukimichi series/manga/webnovel has this Demon race, right? Whole isekai happens because they instigate a war against the h(y)umans outta nowhere and the Goddess needs a hero.

spoiler
Well~ turns out these mofos had it comin'... and so does the Goddess. 🤷🏿‍♂️

it only sorta works for this post since the main character is quite indifferent to the ~~conflict~~ war for quite awhile
interestingly, the story primes you up for that reveal with a precursor villain of sorts

spoiler
Lime and his cohort are quite villainous until you learn what brought that fate upon the Rembrandt family 😐

was there a reasonable alternative?

the method was the problem as far as i'm concerned
not that i saw enough episodes pre-timeskip to have a strong opinion, though

holy shit, you in for a treat
there's atleast an hour's worth more of a movie in the comic
also, the motion comic's pretty freakin' dope

something something "From my perspective the Jedi are evil."
something something "You were supposed to bring balance to the force, not destroy it."

Japanese history version of the Domino Effect meme with 10 black dominoes from 2009's "World record for the largest domino toppled in a chain".

Starting from the male and ending with the largest domino are individual sentences indicating specific moments in history.
Male: "USA giving Japan an offer it can't refuse (1858)."
1st domino: "Japan's Meiji Restoration (1868)."
2nd domino: "First Sino-Japanese War (1894-1895)."
3rd domino: "Russo-Japanese War (1904-1905)."
4th domino: "Australia gets the League of Nations to stay racist (1919)."
5th domino: "Japan & Germany becoming bros (1930's)."
6th domino: "Japan committing 'the Asian Holocaust' (1937-1945)."
7th domino: "Germany, Italy, and Japan start a gang (1940)."
8th domino: "Japan attacks USA's Pearl Harbor (1941)."
9th domino: "USA firebombs & atomic bombs Japan (1942, 1944-1945)."
10th domino: "Japanese girls rebelling by writing cutely (1970's)."

Bonsai Pop's The Rurouni Kenshin Controversy video dropped yesterday and its timeline of Japan inspired a dominoes meme in me. Hours of my life wasted and here we are. 🤷🏿‍♂️
tl;dr about the Rurouni Kenshin controversy: Nobuhiro Watsuki (the mangaka) was convicted of and fined 200,000 yen for possessing "multiple DVDs with videos of nude girls in their early teens and other materials."

A more legitimate source for the 10th domino can be found on page 3 of 35 (Cute Handwriting and Slang) in the pdf scan of Chapter 6: Cuties in Japan by Sharon Kinsella in 1995's Women, Media and Consumption in Japan book.

Context:
Found myself experiencing a ton of gender envy yesterday while referencing this image of Rainbow Dash for something. Almost got intense. So of course I decided to spend hours making a meme about it. 📝🤷🏿‍♂️🤷🏿‍♀️

I just wanted to know if anybody knows of specific kitchen utensil brands that're actually worth buying long-term. Or atleast which ones should be avoided.

I've wasted time checking reviews for various sets and always find concerning ones between the positives.
I really just need a Spoon, Slotted Spoon, (Flexible) Spatula, and Kitchen Tongs.
A Deep Soup Ladle, Whisk, and Pasta Server would just be convenient.
I don't expect a set to have a solid cheese grater, so I'll be buying that separately by default.

Preferences:
I'm trying to avoid exposed metal on the head of the utensils since I'd worry about scratching my pots and pans. Other than that, I've got no preference beyond "non putting toxins or its broken off material in my food". 🤷🏿‍♂️

If this post doesn't work out, I'll just start checking reviews for specific utensils. 😑
