Bricks aren't uncommon for commercial buildings, though they're often painted or otherwise different colors.

Bare brick boxes are very indicative of long-gone industry, but it's not the bricks themselves that are truly to blame for giving that impression.

Battery life is rarely a concern for me; with standard use, not charging all day, my phone is still usually above 30% when I go to plug it in before bed, dark theme is most certainly not easier on my eyes when my surroundings are bright.

In a bumper-to-bumper traffic slowdown, I once stayed still to allow an eighteen-wheeler to merge. They flashed all their back lights to say thanks, and it made me feel nice.
