Can we not normalize subsidizing teachers salaries. They should be fighting for higher pay or for schools to provide these things for them. Edit: sorry didn't read the title, apparently we're in agreement.

God it is validating to see you say that. I'm new to the platform, reddit refugee, and am bombarded by what appears to be hard core communists. It's exhausting.

I think it has something to do with the nature of creative work. If we didn't have some system in place to compensate creatives over time then people in creative jobs couldn't afford to live between employment opportunities.

Is there a way to teach kids these subjects through a sort of communicative negative space? So you can still be following the letter of the law but not the spirit of it.

All this talk about "life expectancy" tied to retirement. Am I the only one around here that's blue collar tradesman that's gonna die in there 60's? How is 67 a reasonable retirement age?
