Nah. I don't see Russia as absolute evil. And there are plenty of means the west does not consider justified. Nobody I know falls into either of these categories.

I don't want Ukraine to kill poor Russian sods but as long as Russia kills poor Ukrainian sods I think it's only fair if they get to shoot back.

Most of us just want Russia to go home and let Ukraine be Ukraine.

As long as you don't go into any post regarding the Ukraine war...

A man with a monkey walks into a bar. Immediately the monkey goes wild and jumps all over the place. The barkeep shouts over "Hey! You can't let your animal do that!"

"Monkey! Come here." the man calls out and indeed the monkey calms down. "Sorry, he's just excited to be someplace new."

Barkeep eyes them suspiciously but lets them be. The pair walks around until the monkey goes nuts again, jumps on a pool table, grabs the cue ball and eats it.

"That's it. You're out! Don't come back until you can control your animal." the barkeep shouts and so the man grabs his monkey pays for the ball and leaves.

A week later the man returns, monkey in tow. The monkey immediately get's excited again but quickly reigns himself in and quietly follows the man to the bar. "See", the man adresses the barkeep, "much better behaved now!" - "Indeed, what can I get you?" - "Two beers, please!"

The barkeep serves them their beers and a bowl of peanuts. Immediately the monkey goes nuts, grabs a peanut, shoves it up his ass, pulls it out again and begins muching them down.

"Hey hey hey! That's disgusting! You can't let your animal do that!" - "I'm really sorry. Won't happen again. But ever since that cue ball he measures first."

Ich kenne zwar Leute denen diese Schlagzeilen nicht passen würden aber ich bin froh dass die offensichtlich nicht genug Einfluss auf die Öffentlichkeit haben...

But progress in anything is rarely sweeping and most commonly a matter of chipping away at an issue one tiny step at a time. Environmental issues, social issues. Unless you're finally hitting a watershed moment it's a depressing battle of inches. But you won't ever get the former unless you commit to the later.

It's funny how with certain folks its always the fighting back that's the escalation, never the original aggression...

I agree with all your pros. Turning Wingspan into a truly parallel game was a brilliant decision. The bird feeder and shared display were never a strong component of WS and greatly slowed everything down. While it's definitely possible to strand yourself for a turn or two in Earth if you expend all resources of a certain type and then have no one pick the corresponding action, that IS on you and you can recover from it. I also like that almost all scoring cards are impactful and you're always spoiled for choice.

For me the nice pictures were a major pull. I probably would not have backed it without them...

Zusätzlich zur Arbeit die so ein Garten braucht, ist auch zu bedenken, dass du erst mal so viel Garten/Umfläche haben musst.

In einer urbanen Umgebung brauchst du mind. 16% Baumdeckung um ca. 1°C Temperaturmitigation zu erreichen. Das ist etwas das du mit Genügend Umschwung schon hinkriegst bei deinem Haus. Ansonsten bist du darauf angewiesen, dass die Städteplanung mitgedacht hat und dort ist man halt schnell soweit dass man eine Reihe alte Bäume weghaut, ein paar 2m Lollis einpflanzt und sich auf die Schultern klopft.

Ugh. All those shaggy bits would be way too hot for me right now...
