Good point about deleting or edit your comments before deleting the post, I initially started by going through mine manually before using Redact and a few slipped through the net.

Yeah, I guess it kinda depends on the size of the subreddit, there's quite a few small low participation ones that would be nice to see brought over to Lemmy, but like OP said, they have no experience of moderating or, like myself, aren't able to dedicate the amount of time needed to moderate a community once it starts to grow. I've already created two such communities that will in their infancy will pretty much be just mirrors of the relevant subreddit.
Create some and then reach out to the mods of those subs on reddit and hand the reins over should they come over to Lemmy?
I think it's just the nature of the Internet being predominantly English speaking, b3ta.com went the same way quite quickly
Yeah, it started to spill over so subs like r/classiccars and r/dogpictures.
Not so much the classic car sub, that was mostly folks arguing about what defines a classic car, or folks reminiscing about thier first cars.
