The installed version was previously 1.5.2.3484, but now it is 0.2.0.1678

The version that my seedbox provider has available is extremely out of date, and many of the bugs I've experienced I know are fixed in a newer version (because for whatever reason they downgraded Prowlarr? That's a separate confusion).

The actual downloading of the torrents would remain with a seedbox provider, only the Prowlarr would be on a regular VPS

If one of my relatives showed me this screen appearing on their phone I’d assume they have malware

/r/Piracy seems to be the only subreddit I've seen that is upset with the mods for the protest. Every other sub I've been in, anyone who says anything remotely negative about the protests is downvoted to oblivion (rightfully so in my opinion)

Y’all were in group chats ever?

For me, I always prefer to type rather than handwrite. While there are studies that say handwriting can help you retain information better, I handwrite at a fraction of a speed I can type, and the sore wrists from doing a lot of handwriting are far more distracting than the extra learning I could get from handwriting. The exception though is anything where I have to write mathematical formulas, where it is almost always faster to handwrite than remember the specific character sequences or keyboard shortcuts, though even then I prefer to write on my iPad, so I can easily reference it on my computer later.

I know there is https://browse.feddit.de which is how I found some of the communities I'm subscribed to

Thank you, this was what I needed. I've changed the Published date on the user I want to be the top admin to be earlier, and now it is working as I hoped.

I already attempted to change the admin user in the lemmy.hjson by switching the login information to a different account, but it still tells me that I'm not the top admin when I try to purge a community. If this isn't something that I can change, this should be something that is possible to do.

Although I don't know Rust, it looks like the function in the source code for getting the top admin is just getting the first user in the list of admins, is there some kind of database trickery I could do to achieve this?

OpenAI should really do something about the apps that are just ChatGPT clones with a subscription on it

I believe this means that the lemmy.ml server has to accept your subscription
