I mean it's pretty obvious I have used my account consistently for months.

You do realise you can support the concept of discussing with people that you disagree with. Echo chambers aren't healthy, or normal, unless you're very young and the internet has always been that way for you.

Ah, interesting. Wasn't aware of that. Thanks for sharing.

lemm.ee isn't left wing, they just don't believe in knee jerk defederation. Check the post on defederation by the lemm.ee instance runner (https://lemm.ee/post/4543536). Very mature, very balanced and very principled. Compare that to the lemmy.world one, and it's a no contest.

I'm a socialist, and while I think tankies have a dumb conclusions (that Stalin and CCP are good things), I have not seen anything I would consider toxic. Seems that people cannot handle large images. Maybe in a world where caps lock is shouting, that's toxic. Not for me though.

Can you explain what a targeted harassment campaign is, and give examples. I've heard many people claim this, but I've never seen anyone provide evidence.

Try Minetest - https://www.minetest.net/

It's a FOSS voxel engine, so they can play multiplayer with their friends for free. MineClone2 is a Minecraft clone on Minetest, so even if their friends don't have Minecraft, they can still play with friends.

For paid games, consider indie games, as they're less likely to be micro-transaction bullshit. Raft, Stardew Valley, Two Point Hospital are good options. Not so much multiplayer, but Stardew supports it. Multiplayer wise, maybe Among Us if the parents are comfortable with that.

I think most here have come here to avoid big tech companies. Reddit has become bad and beyond the pale. Facebook, and Meta companies are not good for privacy, and many wouldn't like to promote them or have their content building those platforms up. Eventually, you become the thing you hate.

Hi. No one is creating content on Threads, can we steal your content, please?

Not necessarily.

Many held off buying a PC because they couldn't get a GPU due to crypto mining slurping it up. When they came back, they price for years old hardware was scandalous. People held off, until they finally needed to update that hardware. Guessing that upgrade queue has been worked down somewhat.

It's running on Lemmy.ml. I guess they're trying to be cautious, test thoroughly and iron out issues. My experience has been positive so far, and I do seem to be seeing more content from small communities which is great.
