Also does not seem to mention the perpetual and ongoing war against Indigenous nations and Black people that the US has faught since before its independence from the brits which properly contextualizes its violence beyond its present borders.

This is why I laugh when you assert being European as a point because Europeans make great American dogs. Not doing uniquely bad? What kind of neoliberal nightmarish bullshit is this? How much kool-aid can you stomach? As if Europe is better off without the cheaper energy that makes it more competitive with the US.

You said it plays a minor role which is bullshit. Tell me how can the Euro economy/industry can make adjustments if it lacks cheap energy that is available elsewhere?

As a European living in Europe I probably have a slightly better understanding of European politics and economic issues

You wouldnt stand for this bullshit logic if the subject were Canada. If that's the length you want to go to prove energy doesn't matter for industry then maybe such sophistry is all you have.

Tbh tech is an unknown language to me so everything you are saying could be true so now I need to look up different OSs

This is why I have a Huawei. Which is funny because all the iPhone users around me think China is absorbing my soul through my phone. (I don't actually know that having a Huawei helps)

So even if Europe can avoid disaster this winter they have to do it all over again next winter. Christ.

Yes I think you are onto something here. I think their concerns are primarily that their ability to speak and be heard is being compromised, which seems slightly different than explicit concern for women, LGBT persons etc that are clearly oppressed, especially in Qatar.

I'd like to see more from these wealthy jocks than complaints about being controlled. They have power that many don't have and if they have convictions about this that go beyond what affects them and their brand then they may be able to do some good.

Not exactly how I'd frame it but that is something vice news would do frankly. Starbucks doesn't want a union but they can make the most of it.

If a Vanguard existed it could work towards bringing together these union workers and coffee farmers. The problem is that it does not seem like something a Starbucks union would even find interesting or empowering.

This is part of the problem. Some workers rely on the exploitation of other workers. How can this be reconciled? This is why I yawn when the news about Starbucks unions gets around. No one has the answers. I've even asked Starbucks workers about this specifically. They just want a better wage. They aren't looking to leverage the political power of their labor to promote solidarity much less consequencial action.

Not to mention... Unions using corporate iconography is gross
