To the surprise of no one. Ukraine has always been corrupt, but that doesn’t mean we should turn a blind eye to Russia’s aggression.
Bill was only philanthropic because of his now-ex wife, who he still cheated on. He never became a “better person,” he was always a shitbag. Dolly, meanwhile, was never a shitbag and constantly gave to charity throughout her career and stood up for what was right throughout her life, including being pro-LGBTQ+ in the fucking 70s.
This isn’t whataboutism, this is contrasting two wildly different people.

Gonna be completely honest - I joined this server because it was open and recommended on joinlemmy. Shortly after I saw beehive he defederated this server and the concern I have is others will follow suit. I know I could easily join another server, but before I do that, is this one going to make changes to get back on beehive’s good graces and prevent defederation elsewhere?
