Dark ist zurecht das klassische Gegenargument. Aber leider eben auch die einsame Ausnahme: die erste Staffel ist inzwischen 7 Jahre alt.

It would be possible to argue about all of them, as each has genuine use cases. Just not to the extend they were praised during the hype.
I cannot tell you why, but I can tell you it works. They just let you do it.

You're right it's not intuitive, but the whole game was intentionally hard and required the player to explore and try.

And even if you go out of your way and dismiss morals, ethics, and international law, who in their right mind thinks that's a good investment? These properties, the whole region, is rife for conflicts and terrorism for... decades. Now more than ever.
I disagree. The puzzles are great: interesting, engaging, genuine. The game just doesn't spoon-feed the solutions.
I understand the decision, but for me it's a problem. I want to play it, but after all those years I really long for more variety.
As a middle way they could make new industries optional. Or release them as recommended NewGRFs like they did with some of the graphics, audio and such in the past.
Do they still not add new industries to the base game? I played this game a lot - like A LOT. But the amount of base game industries are really sad to look at, and there's not that many of expansions either. So you end up playing FIRS industries all the time.
A close relative of mine is working for a joint venture (between a medium sized European airline and LG) which tries to get into this market. Just had their first plane outfitted with their screens and software, and is now operational (sort of, they almost didn't get approval).
In all seriousness it could be such a cool and interesting project. But general incompetency, finger pointing, internal power plays, and management neglect make it just as bad as you imagine already.

In dem Bundesland mit dem flächenmäßig geringsten Windkraftausbau ist natürlich ausgerechnet Windkraft Schuld.
Als findige Unternehmerin weiß sie natürlich was zu tun ist: ~~USV kaufen ~~ Bullshit im TV erzählen.
Junge Menschen haben in der Breite weder die politische Bildung noch die Erfahrung um das alles so beurteilen zu können. Umso wichtiger wäre es ihnen diese Dinge mit auf den Weg zu geben. Aber auch das haben die Regierungen der letzten 20 Jahre erfolgreich vergeigt.
Und für die nicht mehr ganz so jungen Leute gilt auch: wenn du dir jeden Tag um deine kurz- und langfristige Zukunft Sorgen machen musst, dass schaltest du irgendwann ab oder hast einfach keine Zeit dich auch noch um Politik zu kümmern.
