He can be your angle or yuor devil

[–] LemmyLaLibre@feddit.ch 60 points 1 year ago (3 children)

I just like how they try so hard to purge a bad photo and that just makes it immortal.

[–] name_NULL111653@pawb.social 23 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Ikr. It's not even that bad. Other than the hair I'd totally rock that, especially if i'm rich like him, where he can literally set trends with his style if he wanted.

[–] Num10ck@lemmy.world 23 points 1 year ago (2 children)

was this a costume for an event? or his daily fashion? people are allowed to present as goth, this isn't the 1000th most embarrassing thing he's done.

maybe try to find a picture of him interacting with one of his offspring or wives? or a picture of him actually working as an engineer? or doing something good for those less fortunate? or participating with the greater community? or expressing empathy for a tragedy?

[–] lowleveldata@programming.dev 16 points 1 year ago (1 children)

why even be rich if this ain't your daily style

[–] Num10ck@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

most rich people i've met look more like lebowski.. maybe its a california thing.

[–] Idrinkwatertoo@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Shut up, Donny. You’re out of your element.

[–] ngdev@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

They had to have meant The Dude, right? Right?

[–] hemmes@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

I’m the Dude. So that’s what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you’re not into the whole brevity thing.

Honestly, it’s not that bad. The only reason that so many people have latched on to it is because of how hard Elon has tried to make it go away. It’s a textbook example of the Streisand Effect.

[–] stranger@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

Streisand effect

[–] hansmeiser666@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

The Streisand effect in full swing

[–] Followupquestion@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

He’s definitely obtuse about most things.

[–] ayla@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 1 year ago

quite obtuse of him

[–] toxicbubble@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Deleted by Elon Musk

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 54 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Getting strong Grandma's Boy vibes here.

[–] espais@programming.dev 14 points 1 year ago

How did you see him?

[–] MorrisonMotel6@lemm.ee 9 points 1 year ago (1 children)

That's because you don't have robot ears

[–] TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

I'm thinking of getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

[–] kool_newt@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago

Bvzzzt.... pew pew pew ...Bvzzt

[–] simple@lemm.ee 50 points 1 year ago

He looks like he's about to do a stand-in for episode of chris angel mindfreak

[–] PenguinJuice@kbin.social 46 points 1 year ago (1 children)

This is the third Elon Musk related post in a row. Can we agree to simmer down?

[–] WhatASave@aussie.zone 1 points 1 year ago

How will people know I hate him if I don't post about him constantly?

[–] VanillaGorilla@kbin.social 38 points 1 year ago (2 children)

On a scale from 1 to 10, how effective was this removal?

Well we can see the photo for a start

What happens if I make this my profile picture on ~~Twitter~~ X?

[–] wabafee@lemm.ee 23 points 1 year ago (1 children)

His hairline sure got liberated after.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Or he just bought more hair

[–] CoolBeance@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago

I remember my first social studies class

[–] FierroGamer@sh.itjust.works 15 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (3 children)

What's the context on this photo? Why did he try to remove it from the internet?

Edit: thanks 👍

[–] Rusty@lemmy.ca 29 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

According to his tweet he wore it to a party in 2012. And the tweet is still there, so the part about removing it from the internet is just a meme.

He worried it might one day show up on Lemmy and that he would feel judged by the community.

[–] LemmyLaLibre@feddit.ch 7 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It was cringe and people kept bringing it up.

[–] ShustOne@lemmy.one 11 points 1 year ago (1 children)

No it was for a costume party. He tweeted it and his tweet is still up. The part of him wanting it removed is made up. I don't like the guy but this gets posted constantly online and is easily shown to be false.

[–] Afrazzle@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago

"___ wanted this picture deleted" is just the latest version of clickbait

[–] 2ez@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

Liberty. Liberty. Lib-er-ty.

[–] DrinkMonkey@lemmy.ca 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

He looks like he’s contemplating getting robot legs

[–] SpezCanLigmaBalls@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

It’s a risky operation

[–] StankFlipper@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago

JP will never get robot legs. What a douche.

Has he tried Pledge?

[–] Rayspekt@kbin.social 5 points 1 year ago

Did you say "download it, just in case"? Gotcha, fam.

[–] DaveNa@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

Genius ... Genius I tell you. /s
