I want just 1 ridiculously long spaghetti noodle that everyone at the table shares.

there's just 2 ends tho, and you wouldn't cut spaghetti, right??

[–] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 6 points 7 months ago

That would bring shame and dishonor to any Italian blood in you. Instead, you keep eating from opposite ends until you kiss, passionately.

They make cock measurement devices that work for that too.

[–] WereCat@lemmy.world 4 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Yes but what if you don't have it? Are you not going to cook spaghetti?

[–] EdibleFriend@lemmy.world 8 points 7 months ago (1 children)

Iono I'll probably just jack off.

[–] WereCat@lemmy.world 1 points 7 months ago

Fair enough.

Sometimes I eat enough that I have plenty of leftovers, and sometimes I eat enough that I'm confused as to why I have no leftovers.

[–] Aussiemandeus@aussie.zone 1 points 7 months ago

Sometimes I don't eat all the left overs for second and third dinner.

[–] InternetPerson@lemmings.world 8 points 7 months ago

I always cook the whole package, which is usually about 500 g.

I intentionally cook an outrageous amount of spaghetti to save some for later. We are not the same.

If you want to cook exactly the right amount and don't have a spaghetti measurer just weigh them.

I freeze it in portions to take to work for lunch

If you have one of those spaghetti scooper things (I forget what they’re called), that hole in the middle is used to measure out about one serving’s worth.

IMHO A rough rule of thumb is the amount you can grab with just your pinkie finger is one portion for you

[–] rbn@sopuli.xyz 14 points 7 months ago

*a rough rule of pinkie

[–] PrettyFlyForAFatGuy@feddit.uk 4 points 7 months ago

i usually aim for about 80g dry per person

[–] KISSmyOSFeddit@lemmy.world 3 points 7 months ago

That's a huge removed.

[–] FedFer@iusearchlinux.fyi 3 points 7 months ago

Usually for me I make about 80g, that seems to always mostly be right
