IDF discovering a secret Hamas tunnel network

Rules:
-
Rule 1: posts have the following requirements:
- Post news articles only
- Video links are NOT articles and will be removed.
- Title must match the article headline
- Not United States Internal News
- Recent (Past 30 Days)
- Screenshots/links to other social media sites (Twitter/X/Facebook/Youtube/reddit, etc.) are explicitly forbidden, as are link shorteners.
-
Rule 2: Do not copy the entire article into your post. The key points in 1-2 paragraphs is allowed (even encouraged!), but large segments of articles posted in the body will result in the post being removed. If you have to stop and think "Is this fair use?", it probably isn't. Archive links, especially the ones created on link submission, are absolutely allowed but those that avoid paywalls are not.
-
Rule 3: Opinions articles, or Articles based on misinformation/propaganda may be removed. Sources that have a Low or Very Low factual reporting rating or MBFC Credibility Rating may be removed.
-
Rule 4: Posts or comments that are homophobic, transphobic, racist, sexist, anti-religious, or ableist will be removed. “Ironic” prejudice is just prejudiced.
-
Posts and comments must abide by the lemmy.world terms of service UPDATED AS OF 10/19
-
Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
-
Rule 6: Memes, spam, other low effort posting, reposts, misinformation, advocating violence, off-topic, trolling, offensive, regarding the moderators or meta in content may be removed at any time.
-
Rule 7: We didn't USED to need a rule about how many posts one could make in a day, then someone posted NINETEEN articles in a single day. Not comments, FULL ARTICLES. If you're posting more than say, 10 or so, consider going outside and touching grass. We reserve the right to limit over-posting so a single user does not dominate the front page.
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

Why would Israel stop? They don't give a shit and no one is doing more than frowning at them in response.
Can't believe THIS is something I find topical and in need of posting over and over:
Unfortunately we the people keep promoting the most narcissistic, sociopathic people to “leadership” positions. This is in all nations and the consequences of this are all over the place throughout all history yet few are talking about it.
Don't worry the US will "look into it" and express "concern" before repeating how ironclad their support for Israel is.
Biden is creating lots of blue-collar jobs at the crocodile-tear factory.
Joe Biden was overheard rehearsing into his mirror that he was upset with Bibi.
It blows my mind that there are people on here that are cool with doing an airstrike on a playground full of orphans. Many (most?) of which already had to witness the same happening to their parents.
I'm sorry but there is zero justification for that. None. Your argument is invalid.
Yea, their argument boils down to "well Hamas so they deserve it, it's their own fault". Incredibly apathetic and cruel. Tbf people who think like that are also victims of something truly fucked up in their lives, but they are wrong and Israel is wrong to do this. Full stop.
I've never met a good guy that blows up children.
It's incredible that leaders like Biden can still back Israel after actions like this.
Money speaks louder than children can scream
How long until we hear about Hamas tunnels under the playground, or a secret weapons cache hidden in the crawl tube?
Those aren't swings those are kinematic ballistic launchers! Super high tech made to look like children swinging. Those tubes? Those aren't slides. They're nuclear missile silos! That sand.... Yeah that's just sand, but it's HAMAS sand and it's all Bidens fault for selling high grade military sand to Israel! GeNoCiDe JoE!
It was not a playground. It was training facilities for terrorists. Also it was cloudy so they maybe couldn't see so clearly or mistook the children for hamas fighters. I am sure they have some heartfelt apologises to share and that they will investigate themselves and publish the results for full transparency
The real question is, when will the world have had enough of these lame excuses?
Let me guess...
"Hamas" in the playground?
Aljazeera Arabic released a video showing some of the victims of this brutal israeli massacre on little children. Some injured some dead.
Footage starts at about 1:10 NSFL (light Gore + Death): Video link
*Hammas controlled playground.
Wouldn't want someone to think you're antisemitic would you?
So, here's a question, what would be the appropriate Palestinian response to this?
Fight back by any means necessary.
Palestine has a right to defend itself.
This is so fucking disgusting. There is no way the IDF doesn't have precision munitions or know what they are targeting. Also, why the fuck even look to bomb a refugee camp? Why bomb a fucking playground inside a refugee camp? How can any civil person do that to children, regardless of their ethnicity? If the goal is to rid the area of Hamas, all they do is create more of them by doing this shit.
I'm sorry, I was willing to give the IDF the benefit of the doubt, but after other instances of a similar type, there is no doubt that this and other attacks on innocent children are deliberate. This was a playground. This was a refugee camp. These were children... Meanwhile, I'll watch as many of the world's governments shake their fists in the air at Israel, and do nothing more to stop any of this.
I'm gonna go hug my son while I mourn the world he is inheriting.
But we gotta put more sanctions on Iran, right?
Conservative Israeli's: "Gottem!"
They really saw those videos of terrorists using monkey bars and decided to bomb a playground.
There must have been a tunnel there or some headquarters under the swings
Anyone remember that one Palestinian tv character Farfour the mouse?
And people made fun of him for being a Mickey Mouse ripoff Hamas propaganda character designed to incite hatred.
In episode 105 (aired June 22, 2007), Farfour is beaten to death during an interrogation by an Israeli who is trying to acquire the key and title to "Tel al-Rabi", a fictional Palestinian settlement which was occupied by Israelis and renamed to Tel Aviv.
Seems pretty tame in comparison to getting orbitally nuked on a god damn playground.
