Guys, I’m starting to suspect that GOP politicians are complete fucking morons.

Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!
Rules:
- Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.
Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.
Example:
- Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
- Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
- No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
- Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
- No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning
We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.
All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.
That's all the rules!

Racism morons, not just morons.
This person, Rep. Matt Maddock, should never be allowed to speak in public again for being such an idiot. If he does attempt to speak, he should be mocked relentlessly until he shuts his mouth hole. Nothing he says should be taken seriously again. Because he's an idiot. Rep. Matt Maddock, the idiot.
While I'm dreaming, I'd like a pony too.
May bees fly from his butt and invade his mouth
That sounds very unpleasant. I too, hope this happens.
Ponies are expensive, wish for money or eternal happiness instead.
While I'm dreaming, I'd like a pony too.
So I'm not the only one that thinks of that Calvin & Hobbes reference regularly.
Bro, theyre trying to take our Calvin & Jobbs
I want a miniature tiger :-(
the right has always been crazy.
nothing changed, just another day in America
Don't let that man get court-side seats at a game. Someone's liable to "pass" the ball at a high rate of speed towards his face. Actually, I'm in. I'll help pay for the ticket.
Good idea, better results if he'd been talking about a bowling team though. Bobsled could be interesting too.
What's Michigan's policy on recall elections? This is embarrassing for them as a state.
Here is another GOP politician from Michigan suggesting that we nuke Gaza and cut off aid.
This is the best summary I could come up with:
A Republican state representative in Michigan, Rep. Matt Maddock, claimed on social media on Wednesday night that he had photo evidence of “illegal invaders” arriving at Detroit Metro Airport.
The buses were not for “illegal invaders”; they were for the men’s college basketball teams that landed at the Detroit airport to compete in the NCAA tournament known as March Madness.
“The four men’s basketball teams competing in the NCAA Tournament’s Sweet 16 at Little Caesars Arena arrived at DTW Wednesday evening.
But Barrett Henderson, Gonzaga University’s assistant athletic director for communications, confirmed to CNN on Thursday that the team flew on an Allegiant plane, landed at Detroit Metro airport on Wednesday evening in the hour before Maddock’s post, and boarded buses that were waiting at the airport.
Rob Anderson, sports information director at Creighton University, told CNN that their team landed at the airport on Wednesday afternoon, had buses waiting and received a police escort as well.
He wrote a new post saying, “We know this is happening” and that hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants are “pouring into our country.” He added: “Since we can’t trust the #FakeNews to investigate, citizens will.
The original article contains 479 words, the summary contains 190 words. Saved 60%. I'm a bot and I'm open source!
