Insurance companies say because of climate change we are seeing more fires, more floods, more hurricanes.

"It's not great news for consumers but insurers have said they need more price in order to take on the additional risk and loss associated with these climate change-driven, more frequent and severe wildfires," said Dave Jones, the former insurance commissioner for California.

Lol, big corps will talk about climate change so fast when it's convenient

For profit insurance is almost as an insane of an idea as for profit healthcare...

Climate change is even more insane, considering we have had decades to address the issue!
Not to diminish either of your points!

Insurance companies want you to pay for insurance. The moment you go to use it, you’re a risk and they’re gonna fuck around with you to get out of paying or jack your rates up to make up for the fact that you used the insurance.

What's even a surprise about this? Market conditions changed, and this is a private business relationship.

Private insurance shouldn't exist, but while it does, this is what it looks like.
