And the red color on a somewhat-dark gray background with compression artifacts really does not help.
Does ur client mess images up? cuz its literally perfectly visible for me
I mean, it might compress it (Im using Eternity on lemmy.world, no clue if images get compressed on federation or if my client chooses a lower quality).
That red color cant have much better contrast on a less compressed image tho.
I dunno that font looks great on black backgrounds to me :p I've also noticed everytime I take a screenshot the text gets a little... dimmed? which does make it harder to read
You might be seeing a better version since it's on your own instance
ohhh yeah maybe, sorry if it's hard to see then, I swear the font is actually readable X3 And definetly not my quirkiest font, I have some seriously unreadable ones cuz I'm weird like that :3

Maybe I'm just used to quirky fonts cuz this is probably my most readable one :3 but srsly this one looks perfectly fine to me, maybe the image got messed up for u as I pointed out in the other comments?
No problem with quirky fonts! :)
Image quality is fine if you download it in HD. (Many clients don't download full quality right away.)
However, the contrast between the font color and the background makes it very hard for me to read. The font is a bit distracting too but I could manage it with a little extra effort.

These r the ones I have in my phone rn :3
I don't like that first one actually X3 It's unreadable even for me and the color randomly changing from blue to red makes it even more confusing, tho maybe it just needs making the text a little bigger and getting used to :3
And the HOLI ones dont have special characters or accents etc so it sucks if the app I'm using is in spanish and makes my textfaces look ugly :<
