I will never get over Breyer's ice cream going cheap.

Have you looked at Häagen-Dazs? I only looked at their plain chocolate flavor, but the ingredients are only Cream, Skim Milk, Cane Sugar, Cocoa Processed With Alkali, and Egg Yolks. That's the real deal right there!

I like Ben and Jerry's, but I definitely know that it's not "real" ice cream. They shine because they have good flavor combinations.

Bruster's and Graeter's are ice cream shops that make their ice cream in-house. They also contain stabilizers but I prefer it over what's in the grocery store. I'm not sure if that is because I'm used to it or what. If you have a location for either of these near you, I would check them out.

Lastly, I would check if you have any local places that make their own ice cream. You might find what you're looking for there.

I am absolutely crushed that Brussels sprouts give me horrible gut pain. They are so good!

The texture of garden tomatoes are so much better than the texture of the ones you get at the store, too.

I like it when my daughter shares her young people things with me. I don't always get them, but it's interesting to see how the environment she grew up in affects her tastes and what she values.

She was going through a playlist of her music online. I told her it's really cool she's able to discover so many different types of music, because when I was young, downloading one song took a long time. Grandma shared her stories about discovering music on the radio and getting music on cassettes. (And also the origin of what a "mix tape" is.)

Looking at the things I found humorous 20ish years ago, I don't think the kids are all that different really.

Speaking as someone with no skin in the game (I have no pets and I've never had weeks old bags of dog poop in my bin), does any dog poop keep the racoons away from your bins?

I also don't have racoons getting into my trash (I do not overfill my trash bin and it is always left closed) but I do see their little paw prints appear on my trash can sometimes.

Looking at different Christian sects' leadership, this seems consistent.

I have rarely gone to get fast food in the last few years, a lot of the reason because of the cost. That, and quality has gone down a lot even with price increases.

The times I have gone, were because I was short on time. I miss the days I could overlook the poor quality due to the cost.

It could be better, but it's still an improvement. I don't think you're giving yourself enough credit. Most people don't even start.
