This looks pretty cool for an e-bike conversion kit but I do feel like the price should be like 30% less. I’m far from an expert on these kits though. Is this expensive compared to what else is on the market?

Yes, even compared to a nice mid drive and top notch battery, it's expensive. I guess you could make the argument that this is easier to add/remove but it still seems pricey IMO.
