She's part of the retail theft crime wave Republicans have been warning us about! Lock her up forever!

[–] Fisk400@feddit.nu 35 points 10 months ago

Turns out that too was projection.

[–] TechyDad@lemmy.world 25 points 10 months ago (1 children)

How long until a "protect the kids from groomers" member of Moms For Liberty is busted for grooming kids?

[–] TechyDad@lemmy.world 11 points 10 months ago (1 children)

As I posted it, I wondered if I had missed it happening. There's so much that it's easy for one to slip by.

To steal a line from Trump: They aren't sending their best!

[–] TheJims@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

… they’re rapists

[–] z3rOR0ne@lemmy.ml 5 points 10 months ago

The timing is beautiful, this Some More News Episode just dropped covering this very topic.

Roflmao! 🤣

There are two kinds of groups that push changes to society based on morality. Those who want to provide more freedom and rights to people who are at an unfair disadvantage under the system and those who want to impose restrictions and penalties on people who do things they don't like. The latter groups are almost never sincere. The actions they oppose are just an excuse for making people they don't like suffer. As a result, they are often caught do the exact things they say they oppose, because they don't really care about the actions themselves.

[–] I_Fart_Glitter@lemmy.world 23 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Oh my, I just assumed it was the same lady that was having (and filming) threesomes while taking away rights from LGBT kids. Different lady! What else are Moms for Lib up to?

[–] Curious_Canid@lemmy.ca 16 points 10 months ago

I think that just indicates that they really do believe in diversity. They're finding all kinds of different ways to violate what they claim are their principles.

[–] captainlezbian@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

Probably a lot

[–] mastefetri@infosec.pub 15 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago) (2 children)

Moms for Liberty isn't a real grassroots organization anyways, which might explain all the scandals from it's hypocritical members. They're being funded by the Heritage Foundation and others to push an anti-LGBTQ agenda. They had early success when no one was paying attention to them, but they largely got wrecked in the last elections and this year they'll do even worse. After that the funding will dry up and they'll be completely forgotten, but in a few years another group with a similar name will pop up being funded by the same ghouls.

Making exactly the same arguments, caricatures, and epithets.

It's more like the "my abortion is the only moral abortion" argument. They convince themselves that it's the people and not the action that are the bad thing, so if they, a good person, does it, it's not really wrong. But if the bad people do it, then it's bad.

[–] Poayjay@lemmy.world 46 points 10 months ago

Sheltered suburb bitches are crazy.

[–] ThePantser@lemmy.world 41 points 10 months ago

Well it's in their name, Moms for Liberty. They be liberating items off the shelves.

[–] paddirn@lemmy.world 41 points 10 months ago

It's always the people you most suspected.

[–] KeefChief13@lemmy.world 32 points 10 months ago

The store thwy were boycotting for being woke?!? Let me guess... new Stanley tumbler color way.

[–] Jaysyn@kbin.social 31 points 10 months ago (1 children)

That's a face that is trying to figure out a way to lawyer out of this.

No contrition detected.

[–] nilloc@discuss.tchncs.de 12 points 10 months ago

It’s a “I can’t believe you arrested me Bill, we’re on the same side.” Face.

[–] Gork@lemm.ee 30 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Doesn't she know that Target is the worst place to shoplift? Getting caught is inevitable there.

[–] MegaUltraChicken@lemmy.world 49 points 10 months ago (1 children)

That's what I was thinking. They will literally build a case against the shoplifter over multiple visits so they can get the value of goods stolen above felony requirements and then take action. They want jail time.

[–] jballs@sh.itjust.works 12 points 10 months ago

Yeah, says she did it on 7 different occasions. So Target was tracking her the whole time. Either that or they caught her once and went back and reviewed her previous check outs where she didn't scan items. Either way: ROFL get fucked, lady.

[–] Ensign_Crab@lemmy.world 21 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Police say Blair stole nearly $730 worth of merchandise by "skip-scanning" items at the store's self checkout.

They have little screens above the register that show you plainly that they're recording your face. Bet she paid for the items she didn't steal with a method of payment that could be easily traced back to her.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

It's strange because the right-wing "stop woke" book-burning don't-say-gay school board crowd are really known for being super fucking intelligent.

[–] HubertManne@kbin.social 20 points 10 months ago

look what the immigants are doing to our upstanding americans.

[–] KazuyaDarklight@lemmy.world 20 points 10 months ago (1 children)

This is one of the spots where I wonder if the whole "If you see someone shoplifting, no you didn't." thing breaks down a bit.

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 40 points 10 months ago (2 children)

"If you see someone shoplifting FOOD, no you didn't"

You missed a word.

[–] Obi@sopuli.xyz 28 points 10 months ago (2 children)

Food, diapers, etc. If they're shoplifting a luxury lipstick or whatever while getting in their brand new SUV, that's different...

[–] andrew_bidlaw@sh.itjust.works 8 points 10 months ago (3 children)

And if they'd try to shoplift a big-ass plasma TV I'd shoplift a bag of popcorn to watch that. Not exactly food, but I don't think someone would judge me harsh for that.

[–] HikingVet@lemmy.ca 7 points 10 months ago

Popcorn is definitely food.

[–] andrew_bidlaw@sh.itjust.works 10 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Is it like the third or the forth person from that bunch to be charged with something?

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago (1 children)

I haven't seen a list like the trump crimes or the right-wingers-accused-of-sex-assault but it is apparently time for that. Anyone? Beuller?

[–] andrew_bidlaw@sh.itjust.works 9 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

I'm not great at lists.

Feel free to edit, add some and make a copypaste.

[–] TimLovesTech@badatbeing.social 9 points 10 months ago (1 children)

Deport the deplorable trash. Put her on a bus. To one of THEIR cities.

[–] _number8_@lemmy.world 8 points 10 months ago (1 children)

this headline is formatted in such a way that it implies that being a school board member or a moms for liberty member is somehow prestigious

[–] stoly@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

Being a school board member is prestigious. Being on them with an anti-education agenda is notable and sad.

[–] stevedidWHAT@lemmy.world 6 points 10 months ago

BIG SHOCKER

anyway…

[–] ghostdoggtv@lemmy.world 4 points 10 months ago

They can't make accusations without also doing DARVO.
