Titanfall 2 was pretty fun.
It's shorter than borderlands for sure, but it's fun.

My goal is just to have a community where people can go and see what new game news is out for the day and comment on it.
Other communities:
60fps is decent unless you have a 120/144hz monitor then you should shoot for 120-144fps
DOOM 2016
DOOM Eternal
Far Cry: Blood Dragoon
I hear great things about Robocop Rogue City.
Titanfall 2. Not massively long, but worth every penny. The story is engaging and satisfying, and the action is inventive and fast paced throughout.
And BT is bestest boi forever.
The 2016 DOOM fits these requirements. DOOM Eternal is pretty decent, but honestly I feel like it's actually a step down from the 2016 release. They added a lot of new mechanics that you have to juggle, and a bunch of plot (euch, gross), and is overall not as good of an experience. 2016 also has a better soundtrack, IMO. BFG Division is one of the best songs ever produced, even outside of game soundtracks.
If you want something a little more unique, I could also recommend SUPERHOT.
Basically, if an FPS puts its name in all caps, it's probably gonna be a banger. Caps-locking the title of your game requires a certain amount of confidence, I feel.
Ultrakill
Ghostrunner, Singularity, Dusk
Metro 2033
I'd say the Halo MCC provided you skip all the cutscenes. Still super fucking fun games and the challenge depends on the difficulty setting
Sadly I have played them all. Certainly not as they came out. I am definitely not that old. Definitely not.
Oh, me too, but I go back and replay them every couple years, there's still nothing quite like them. Super fun shooters but there's enough time to kill and weapon variety to make it interesting and strategic
Damned young whippersnappers. Back in my day you get touched by an enemy and you died. Then die a few more times and you have to start the game all over again. A game save meant you hit pause, shut the TV down, and hoped it didn't freeze up while you were gone.
How about you get off my lawn!
Dusk. Ultrakill.
Wolfenstein
EDIT: Sorry, I should have specified; Xbox Series X or PS4
Deep Rock Galactic
playing Superhot rn and its pretty great
But it’s only for VR, correct?
It was originally for pancake screens so if you don't own a VR headset you can still play it. Just buy the correct version though 😁
I’ve been looking and can’t seem to find a copy anywhere.
Also has a non vr version
Trepang² is pretty fun, kinda a mix of Crysis and FEAR
All the "doom-clones", or boomer shooters (which I hate that title).
Some not named in the comments - Serious Sam 4, Painkiller, Blood.
I really enjoyed F.E.A.R.
Shadow Warrior
Titanfall 2
roboquest is fun (and difficult)
Far Cry 3, 4, and 5 are games I've had a lot of fun with, at least. They let you pick how you approach most of the "free-form" stuff though story missions will have you do things in specific ways.
Half life games are on sale right now. If hl1s graphics are too dated for you black mesa is a remake of the first game that is fantastic.
FEAR 1 is also goated
Half Life is great and all. But both games have insanely long intros.
Titanfall?
Bulletstorm for some over-the-top action. The setting and tone is similar to Borderlands but it's a classic FPS, not a loot'n'shoot.
Singularity - the last good Raven Software game.
It’s like a playable B-Movie: awesome!
Metal Hellsinger, combines FPS and metal music and bonuses for staying on rhythm with the music.
Nightmare Reaper
Ultrakill!!!
Thanks my friend, but I am a console gamer
I should've read the post better, sorry!
I suppose I could connect my Mac mini to my tv. Worth it?
