I use YouTube through FreeTube...I really try to like peer tube, but I'm kinda old and it's not super user friendly for me. Don't judge! I'm just being honest.
Seconded. I much prefer FreeTube, as well.
No judgment here. I keep defaulting to FreeTube too. PeerTube is nice and all, but it doesn't have nearly as many videos as YouTube has. That said, if I see a content creator I like has a PeerTube mirror for their videos, I try and use that instead of YT.
How about Peertube? There are instances for everything. You'll surely find instances that are not allowing lefties, instances that are not allowing righties, instances that are only allowing communists, instances that are only allowing capitalists, instances that only allow queer people, instances that only allow straight people. There's an instance for everyone.
I like the ones that allow every human.
yeah the the ones that allow all humans alright, but have you tried the ones that allow bots too?
I'm not sure what your point is. Do you mean literal bots, or do you mean "people who I don't agree with"?
I think i was meaning literal bots, but I may have been a bit inebriated.
As a follow up to this post why do a lot of youtube alternatives seem to be filled with alt right content?
Most alternatives are driven by bans from YouTube.
Because they're actively deleted from YouTube, by YouTube.
Not deleted enough, though. Youtube has its own big alt-right problems
You may want to check out this Mastodon toot / page for info on how to report / isolate far right Peertube instances https://cornichon.me/@PeerTube_Isolation/105431613112404992
Odysee is chaotic neutral. I've seen everything from alt-right to official DPRK propaganda content being uploaded there.
Peertube is the best. Odysee is not bad, but I prefer a decentralized alternative like Peertube.
Isn't lbry also decentralized though?
