It's heartbreaking to see the struggle the Cuban people experience under the blockade, but I am happy to see them succeed despite it!

When the Cuban doctors came to Brazil as part of the Mais Médicos program many people noticed the difference and how humanly they were treated by those doctors. Some said things like "it's the first time a doctor actually touched me"

They also have an amazing treatment which has been proven to prevent diabetics from needing amputations. This is massive, any diabetic who receives an amputation is then at exponentially higher risk of requiring another down the road. Yet, because the US is apparently unable to see past it's own propaganda, the medicine is not allowed in the country. The US is #1 for cases of type 1 diabetes and #3 for all types of diabetes, but who needs game changing medical options?
