A place to share practical, durable and quality made products that are made to last, with an emphasis on upcycled and sustainable products!

Guidelines:

Things that are well-made and durable (even if they won't last a lifetime) are A-Okay!

Unlike that other BIFL place, Home-made and DIY items are encouraged here, as long as some form of instruction is included in the body of the post.

Videos links are not allowed as post titles, but you may use them in a text post.

A limited amount of self-promotion is accepted, IF the item you are selling aligns with this criteria:

  1. The item must be made with sustainable or recycled materials.
  2. If electronic in some way, the item must be open-source.
  3. The item must be user-serviceable (if applicable).
  4. You cannot be a large corporation.
  5. The post must be clearly marked with a [Self Promotion] tag in your title.

Used to go through a belt every 1-2 years, now I don't think I'll ever buy another.

And a tip for new owners, there is an OK way and a better way to use this belt.

Flip the belt and you can pull it taut where it stays in position so you can thread the tail end back through. If it's the other way, it slips as you're mucking around with it.

On my belt, it's badge out. The tail hides the badge if you're lucky or the right size.

I mean this just seems like a strap at this point. If your happy with an industrial look and want a low price point can I recommend some rope?

You can probably just buy a small roll of polypropylene or nylon webbing, a 12 pack of plastic buckles or 3d print them, and make a bunch for your friends as well for at or around the same price.
