I think the point is that carnivorous plants are the closest species to humans in the animal kingdom.

Venus fly traps know what they look like. They could either reject the image and have to fight that fight for their whole lives, or embrace it and take the title as the most metal plants in the world.
Fun fact: The fly trap closing is one of the fastest movements in the plant kingdom.
