Except they don't. Carnivorous plants evolved in soils that are poor in nitrates and/or phosphates, so they get them from their preys.

I think the point is that carnivorous plants are the closest species to humans in the animal kingdom.

Are you saying carnivorous plants are in the animal kingdom?

Venus fly traps know what they look like. They could either reject the image and have to fight that fight for their whole lives, or embrace it and take the title as the most metal plants in the world.
