I switched from joints to a vaporizer 6 years ago and haven't looked back. Allowed me to quit smoking (cigarettes), is much more enjoyable and healthier.

Agreed. It really hit me when I saw the amount of AVB I was collecting that wasn't getting incinerated into my lungs.
I have a Pax 3 that I really wanted to like, but joints are just so elite
Yeah, the Pax is okay, not the best. Even when clean, my newer Pax Plus still feels like I'm sucking a golf ball through a garden hose.
There are different end caps that help with better circulation and remedy the Private Pyle effect.
Do yourself a favor and get some budkups. They've changed the way I smoke and make the pax a much more portable option.
This is the way. I also got Pax 3 + budkups (should really be included in the set!) and I'm really happy with it. Tried other vaporizers from friends but none was at the same level (vaporizers, not friends).
But the golf ball and hose comparison was hilarious.
I already have some 😂 I don't like how it tastes, and the quality of the high seems different. I don't know if that's true, scientifically speaking, but it feels like it.
I love a joint, but vaporizing tastes so much better to me. I definitely need a full 6 pack of kups to match the feeling of a joint, but I usually don't need that much these days, and I get the benefit of better taste and all that ABV that I turn into tincture. Recycling!
When you smoke joints you also get a kick from nicotine.
In the States, a joint is just pot. My apologies for the confusion
Assuming there's tobacco, which is not a safe assumption.
Tinymight 2 for the safe best buy, or research your way for a good vape. A pax is not a vape that'll help one switch.
This is the way
Do you have a recommendation?
I used to smoke flower but now only do so on very rare occasions (like if I get a favorite strain, like NYC Diesel). I was using a PAX to vape flower for the past few years, but I recently started experimenting with concentrates.
To be completely honest, I have been blown away by concentrates on a number of things: no more pot smell on me; hits are far superior (one hit is enough); my throat isn't burning afterwards. I prefer live rosins (heat press, no solvents used) as it is more natural and preserves a lot of the terpenes and natural flavors. I've tried other concentrates too, badder/budder, crumble, wax, shatter, but I find that diamonds are some of the highest in THC-A (my most recent batch is just below 97%) and hit so smooth that there is almost no aftertaste.
My daily driver is a Yocan Orbit and I must say this thing is absolutely amazing (versus owning a dab rig with kids in the house) and super easy to clean (one minute with iso and a cotton swab and I'm off to the races). I tried a Terp Pen initially, but they get pretty clogged up and are much harder to clean.
Now, I'm not advocating one delivery system over another, but I'm in my late 40's and I can't be hitting blunts or bongs on a regular basis, much less a preroll. I do miss the ritual of it all, but that's about it.
Do you taste any metal with the Yocan? I have some live rosin and I tried it in the Pax attachment and it was so-so. I then tried it with an attachment from a cheaper vape pen, but it uses a coil to heat it up and it tastes like I’m smoking the coil more than anything else. Also, do you have any tips on how to manage the rosin? It’s so sticky!
No metallic taste from the Yocan. The coil is underneath the quartz cup.
I tried the concentrate oven with my Pax Plus, but I wasn't too thrilled with it. The little bucket and lid needs constant cleaning and I found it tedious. My Pax is just used for flower now.
As for the Terp Pen, it works okay initially, but then the coil tip gets gunked up, even if you pull slowly as recommended. It is also much more involved when cleaning due to the airflow design. I went through a few coils before switching up to the Yocan Orbit.
As for handling sticky concentrates, forget those dab tools and get a hot knife. Scoop with the knife cool, then hit the button to release the concentrate.
all day every day brother
The obvious right answer, Chooglers is the fucking man
bongs are the most fun but a pain to clean and set up (mine is dishwashable lol), joints are my next favourite, theres just something about em', just the right amount every time. My go to is my dry flower vape, its just so convenient. It doesn't hit as hard but its nice and smooth and the upkeep is the easiest.

I thankfully just have a 7" beaker. ISO, salt, wrap both openings in a bit of clingwrap tightly and shake that motherfucker for 30 seconds like the bitch owes you money. Dump, rinse, crystal clear and ready to funk up again lmao.
My Volcano is my second wife. She got that Marge Bouvier hair.
OmniVap with dosing caps in an induction heater throughout the day. Then either an Xvape Aria with flower or a Yocan Orbit with dabs watching tv in bed before going to sleep.
I used to love Xvape but now they’re on my shit list. I’ve had several iterations of the Cricket pen over the years, but the latest model auto shutoffs 15 seconds after the last button press. It’s fucking infuriating having to 5x click it back on each time.
Yeah, I only got the Xvape and Yocan as cheap trials of the other types of device. I actually use the Xvape like my OmniVap and only let it run for a few puffs before I turn it off.
I like my Omni the best but only with induction heat.
what we call joints but you call spliffs most likely.
Technically, spliffs have a mixture of tobacco and cannabis and rolled in paper. They aren't as harsh as a blunt, but I haven't smoked one in ages.
yeah thats what we call joints
I guess so, but realize some people don't smoke tobacco (including me), so if you offer them a "joint", it's going to be an unpleasant experience. Best to get your definitions straight.
We're talking europe here, so our definitions are Joint and Pure Joint, which doesnt have tobacco.
Most people find those way too harsh so funnily enough most people would want you to disclose that.
I'm in the US so I've never heard of that. TIL.
I'm not gonna lie sometimes if I'm feeling especially funky I'll roll a spliff, it's especially nice if I'm out to the bars
I mostly vape now, since I have a kid and my partner is also sensitive to smells. However, my favorite is a stone bowl/wood stem pipe she bought me for father's day two years ago. It gives big wizard vibes and makes me slow down to enjoy the ritual of smoking.
Classic bongs, mostly. Got the DHC Box so every month a new cute rig shows up, got a whole collection now.
Keep a few of them in a mini fridge I use for other stuff (started cuz I was too lazy to freeze a freezer bong lol) so they always hit ice cold, it rules
Got my eyes on a desktop vaporizer though, wife's prolly getting me one for Xmas and I'll swap to using that through my bongs instead
Having a glass fridge is fucking RAD lmfao I'm super envious
My mom saw a mini fridge at Lowe's that was on sale one day and I snagged it. Used it for soda and shit but the glass has mostly taken over now lol
It's this cute retro looking one from Galanz
It's the mini version of one Tech Connections didn't video on recently, which I thought was cool
I use a ball vape. Cloud connoisseurs zirconia zeal. I fucking love it. I also use a quartz banger quite often.
Dabs all day. It's all I smoke now.
Flower in a fancy bubbler. I'm open to all the other methods too, but nothing beats the classic for me.
Glass spoon bowl is the way for me. I used to love a good joint or blunt, but everything I get these days seems too resiny to get a good draw.
Lmfao that's a good problem to have. "Fuck! If only these buds weren't so fucking dank and resinous!"
I love vaping flower and doing dabs, but my favorite is mixing flower w/ a dab of concentrate (bubble hash, live resin/rosin or diamonds) in my Dynavap and ripping out of a basic 12" beaker bong.
Each loaded bowl gives 2-3 full bong rips - flavor off the charts, super dense vapor & a better high than just flower or dabs on their own.
What's the deal with the dynavap? Is it portable? It's powered by a regular bic lighter right? I have a cartridge pen for times when I can't smoke a joint and I hate it.
It's portable for sure, but as it's manually heated I would say it doesnt feel super discrete. I mostly use it at home because I love the function and I medicate all day. It's great for taking on the trail or hitting in the car, etc but I would feel wierd heating it up out in public even here in OR (i feel far more comfortable w/ my Crafty and dosing pods if I'm sneaking a puff while out and about).
It can be heated with just about any heat source but ive found a little butane torch lighter is convenient, relatively discrete and easier than a traditional BiC type lighter (which takes forever and doesn't heat very evenly).
Vape but would prefer edibles. My grandpa smoked (ciggaretts) but i want nothing to do with actually smoking.
joints, pipes bongs. tried so many vapes and they never stick.. pressed hash with weed as tobacco is my preferred medium.
