I would greatly appreciate if anyone could participate in the survey I created for my research about fediverse . it won't take much time and it is hosted on privacy friendly service, cryptpad . all responses are anonymized. You don't have to answer all questions. Fill as much you can and submit when you had enough.

The survey link : https://cryptpad.fr/form/#/2/form/view/LyJcsEgXPzaWJtwXXsGq4uoGwK6C+VzujXC6Wrz3YqI/

What's the purpose of your research? Curiosity? A student thesis? A professional paper? Are you a dev actively working on improving the fediverse?

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago

It is just a literature review of fediverse. But I just wanted to include some suggesions of the users. Thank you for your support

Would you mind sharing the results later? (I’d love to get dm’ed then)

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 year ago

For sure. Thank you for the support

Love the idea, but you should really ask someone who actually speaks english to check the whole questionnaire. It's filled with spelling and grammatical errors.

My apologies. Actually it was more of a last minute work. I am almost at the deadline. I did not believe I could get support from people who don't know me. So I did not had an idea to do a survey. But eventually it already got 10 responses by now. thank you so much everyone

Several questions doesn't work on FF Android.

[–] livus@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago

Worked for me.

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

I am sorry. This is also my first time I used cryptpad.

When opening from the liftoff client on iOS, it doesn’t work for me:

Error

Survey isn't very mobile friendly, couldn't fill out the user experience questions so I gave up

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago

I'm sorry. I had to use something else rather than google forum cuz many don't like to give information to google

[–] jbk@discuss.tchncs.de 3 points 1 year ago

I also couldn't until I turned my phone to landscape mode.

What a weird site and a weird set of questions. First I was asked if I use centralized social media services and I said no, and later I was asked about what I like about centralized social media services.

[–] online@lemmy.ml 16 points 1 year ago

Survey research is hard -- especially when you are a student learning to do it.

[–] em2@lemmy.ml 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I understood it differently. Although I don't use it, I know it exists and it does have an upside (or at least, it used to).

[–] 30p87@feddit.de 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It has a little bit more uptime and more users. Other than that, they're shit.

[–] em2@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Wholeheartedly agree

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Sorry. My first time with CryptPad. I had to use it because people here won't like google forums

[–] HorseWithNoName@lemm.ee 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It worked for me, but I think there may be an issue with question 4. I used Firefox btw, but it did take a little while to load.

Good luck with your research

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Thank you so much

[–] em2@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I got it to work just fine from my android phone. Cheers and good luck with your research!

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Thank you for the support

The survey really tries to push you towards censorship of centralized media, when the issue (for me) was Reddit controlling monetization of the media. I’m not on X/Twitter because of censorship, but I’m not using mastodon either. I’m on Lemmy because Reddit killed Apollo.

Please use a share link, this one does not work

[–] online@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

To people who say the link won't work: I opened a private window in Firefox and it worked for me.

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 year ago

Yes. I corrected it later

[–] IzzyData@lemmy.ml 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I can't seem to get it to work.

[–] Eggyhead@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

On an iPhone 12 Mini, I wasn’t able to see the options for the β€œhow would you rate” questions until I held my phone horizontally. Just sharing that now in case it affects anyone else.

I got an error on the link.

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

I checked it now. It is working

[–] HerbalGamer@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

not for me but that might be due to being on Opera

[–] gplwpu@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

maybe. Looks like choosing cryptpad for creating the forum was not a good idea
