I'm literally just now looking into that. Lemmy seems walled off somewhat though. Kinda confusing, it being part of the Fediverse and all. Or am I missing something? ๐ค

There is a repost button when you view a post in Lemmy (icon with two squares).
I don't think so. Lemmy communities are a form of a group, and Lemmy posts are in effect boosts by the community. It seems to me in theory it should be possible for a regular fedi post to be boosted by a community group, but I don't think Lemmy has a way of doing it right now?
What do you mean by a "regular fedi post"? Something like a Mastodon toot made outside of any community? It's not possible to view that from Lemmy, because Lemmy fundamentally only supports content which is in a community (except private messages).
Yeah, that makes sense.
I would imagine it to be possible to cross-post a fediverse post to a community, but I'm not managing to search and view any non-lemmy post in lemmy to try it.
I was wondering if it was possible to follow other fedi posts from my Lemmy instance, but it doesn't seem so. Maybe I'm missing something
I don't think you're missing anything. Lemmy just does not have UI plumbing for that, I believe.
Ah, I see
