Spoons are microwave safe πŸ‘

It's the forks you gotta watch out for 😑

One soon is safe. Wouldn't multiple spoons be dangerous again?

[–] atocci@kbin.social 2 points 1 year ago

2 or more would be bad, the electricity would have points to arc between πŸ’€

Spoons won’t spark, you gotta use aluminum foil instead for best results.

Counterpoint: Aluminum foil wrapped spoons.

I could have sworn I once accidentally left a spoon in a casserole I was heating up and it started sparking...

I only ever eat with spoons and I remember it sparking, so they do spark in some microwaves.

Might be a bit pedantic, but I think it's more that some spoons will spark in microwaves. It's the shape of the metal that causes arcs in places the charge can jump between

Bar of soap is pretty cool in the microwave, it's kinda like a black snake firework

It's what scientists do.
