It's only been relatively recently that people in labs stopped sucking cancer causing and poisonous chemicals out of containers with their mouths on a pipette.

Seems historically accurate given the level of radiation exposure a lot of the nuclear scientists got

Scientists used to "taste" new chemical compounds. This is extremely accurate
