Good morning to you. This is my first comment on Lemmy. I too ditched Reddit at the end of June when they shut off Apollo. I haven’t missed it as much as I might’ve thought, but curiosity has gotten the better of me and here I am.

I hung in there a bit longer using Infinity. But they finally shut down the free use and now require you to build the app with your own API or subscribe for $3/month.

I ditched reddit around that time too. Lemmy does seem to be better suited to my interests, and I haven't had any interest in revisiting reddit since joining.
Concerning image orientation, I'd just make sure to have my pics oriented correctly before uploading; I haven't had any issues there.
Any tips on how to keep my photos oriented properly? I'm using Jerboa if that makes a difference
