What the fuck is this supposed to mean.

[–] Eirini@lemmy.world 40 points 1 year ago (2 children)

After going down the rabbit hole of all possible drugs, final stage is to hire a maid / housekeeper to clean your house.

[–] feedum_sneedson@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago

Now that's a much funnier interpretation.

[–] pavnilschanda@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

I, too, want a maid to help with my executive dysfunction

Lithium: It's what phones crave!

Water? Like from the toilet?

[–] souperk@reddthat.com 4 points 1 year ago

I had to reread the whole thing 5 times to make sure there water isn't one of the labels.

Dude I looked at this for far too long thinking I just missed caffeine and cannabis

[–] Sethayy@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 year ago

Literally gotta be the most used ADHD (self) meds

[–] rigamarole@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

We haven't forgotten you, MrPoopyButthole. You were a good fish and are dearly missed.

Okay, I put on the maid outfit.

Now what.

grab a mop and get to cleaning

[–] trashgirlfriend@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Nooooooooooo...

I am trying to get started on a treatment at the moment. This made me anxious.

[–] SirNuke@kbin.social 10 points 1 year ago

I wouldn't be. None of these are prescribed for ADHD minus a few at the top. Taking an extended release stimulant isn't going to put you on the path to needing antipsychotics. Or paying a vet under the table for ketamine for your 'horse' or whatever the point of this meme is.

[–] Gormadt@lemmy.blahaj.zone 5 points 1 year ago

Yeah I was super anxious (to the point of the occasional (alright frequent) panic attack) for way too long before I started treatment

I literally put it off for years

My only regret is taking so damn long to get started, my life has literally only gotten better since I started

It's like I'm a sailboat that finally got a rudder installed. Yeah the wind still pushes me in directions at it's leisure but I have enough control now to actually influence my direction.

it makes me feel bad for my partner who has tried about 1/2 of these and very few have worked as long term solutions.

Here in Canada it stands for "medical assistance in dying". As in getting Kevorkian'd.

So like I really hope OP didn't mean it that way.

I like to think literally a maid, only because that's funnier.

[–] ben16w@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

Ah that makes sense. No wonder I couldn't find it, was looking for recreational drugs

[–] Franzia@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 year ago

I'll be your maid OP :3 I'll have to start building my thigh muscles, though... heh heh.
