accelerationism doesn't work. it has never worked. now we have to try to implement our changes in an environment evenemore resistant to them

I'm struggling to connect this comment to the post. Mind helping me out? Is "we" Afghan anarchists? tankies?

tankies like the taliban because they make things worse for the people under their control. tankies tell on themselves when they support these repressive fucks. they don't actually care about liberation for everyone. they care that they appear smart and right. they attach themselves to liberatory politics to appear right. they attach themselves to vile movements that are liberatory adjacent to appear like they are playing a brave game of chess. the truth, though, is they are enabling troublesome forces that will never help the common man.

in my comment, "we" was anarchists in general because all across the globe authoritarianism is on the rise. in effect, the old world order is collapsing and various factions of fascism (because make no mistake, bolshevism is a fascism) are about to battle for who owns… us. it's grim. anarchists may be tempted to coalition with tankies, on account of some similar economic policy, but make no mistake, they are lot good allies

Ah okay cool, thanks for the detailed explanation!

On the surface, it sounded like the comments progressives make on posts about voting third party in the US presidential election

Literally what are you talking about

If I work up the ambition later today I'll sort through my unorganized .ml cringe folder and get some examples from Lemmy itself.
