You gotta assume it's the actual face of the author pasted in from a photograph, right?

That's a image of Condo's face, I love the surreality, Everett looks more human than his creator.

I wonder if Teddy's style caught on. This comic is from 1907 and the Spanish American War was in 1898. Maybe everyone thought Teddy looked so cool that his style became popular!
