You mean there are people who LIKE pay-to-win?
Asia. China and Japan, I know in particular, go nuts for pay-to-win gatcha mechanics.
Yes, the people willing to pay for them, and the companies happy to take their money.
I mean some fraction of that market is for sure addicted, which possibly stretches the definition of "like".
My thinking with a lot of those games where you have the handful of over-the-top 'spenders' is that at least a few are employees of the company given a free pass to add to their accounts. It's not like it costs them anything, but it sure incentivizes a bunch of others to buy to try and compete.
Could be fun, probably not something I'll play for more than a few days though
