I like how "A lump in your neck" isn't preceded by "have a" like the rest of them. It's just a lump in your neck.

You may be at risk of throat cancer if you a lump on your neck.

I like ignoring the bullets and just reading the rest of the text. "You may be at risk for throat cancer if you get checked now."

Can't get diagnosed with cancer if you never get checked!

It's like when I hear "Back in the days there was no cancer and no mental disorders". Like yeah, people just died randomly and behaved weird and were called possessed and stuff

Not sure if the person who made this poster was being pedantic, or if it was intended to make people think, and realize that it could happen to anyone.

You also can't scream, even when you must.

[–] VikingHippie@lemmy.wtf 1 points 1 year ago

To paraphrase the Alien tagline: at the oncologist's office, no one wants to hear you scream.

(As opposed to most places, where people love it)

Technically correct - the best kind of correct!

[–] mca@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

They probably forgot to add the word ‘sore’ to throat. Happens to me quite often ;)

[–] shiveyarbles@beehaw.org 2 points 1 year ago

Have trouble swallowing food and lump in neck might be the same issue

Well, that’s one way to disprove the “brain in a vat” hypothesis, I suppose…

4 points just don't look enough. What else could we write?
