/c/TenFoward: Your home-away-from-home for all things Star Trek!

Re-route power to the shields, emit a tachyon pulse through the deflector, and post all the nonsense you want. Within reason of course.

~ 1. No bigotry. This is a Star Trek community. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen both on lore and preferences. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 3. Use spoiler tags. This applies to any episodes that have dropped within 3 months prior of your posting. After that it's free game.

~ 4. Keep it Trek related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love Star Trek stuff but 3-4 posts in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

Fun will now commence.

Where's the "I don't see an image" option? Because it doesn't have:

"Dammit Spock -- I NEED you!"

You can trace the flight path of the Enterprise through the galaxy by the wake of chlamydia it left behind.

In every timeline it seems.

Damn.

I know I'm old now.

See, I'm so old that not only do I remember that ho was short for whore, and that it was spelled ho' when written, but I've lived long enough that the spelling becoming hoe isn't even weird any more. It has become the default now.

Language shifts are a beyotch

As the ancient texts say...

Like when people used to spell it "psych" instead of "sike"

I read somewhere that "Kirk doesn't kiss, he gets kissed" everyone loves him, but he's married to his job. It's super convenient for the main character with the great hair.

It's the kind of bit that's more likely played for laughs today via an unreliable narrator trope. "Sure Kirk, they kissed you. We believe you."

Captain Pike, of even more powerful hair, seems to have the same thing going, only with smouldering meaningful glances.

Now do Riker. Don't forget his trombone. He definitely fucked that thing.

The ol' sliding reacharound

[–] Taleya@aussie.zone 12 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Interesting to note how many of these were under duress / forced / false pretences and otherwise dubious consent on kirk's behalf

LOL, what the hell is happening here?

[–] ummthatguy@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

A distraction and disable maneuver that is followed by an escape attempt.

Of the 16 images, five don't count. The one with the Gorn is an obvious joke, but for four other, Kirk wasn't acting of his own free will. He was being physically controlled by God like aliens, mind controlled or straight up sexually assaulted.

So he claims…. But we don’t know that for sure.
