I swear that if Biden dies of covid so soon after Trump survives an assassination attempt, we are never going to hear the end of it. The MAGA folks already have been crowing about how God saved Trump.

Get well soon, Joe.

Maybe this will convince him to step aside?

I hope he recovers but god damn this is shitty timing

Edit: President Harris anyone? Definitely better than getting trump in office.

I don't think Harris can win the election.

I think she very well may, but her odds are also probably not as good as Biden's. I don't want to roll those dice.

Just asking, if he dies right now obviously Harris become president. Does that mean she gets the nomination, or is there a super quick primary to nominate a candidate?

More likely he'll just be even more underpowered for the rest of the campaign. This may be the moment to replace him with someone younger, but I wouldn't trust the Democratic Party to act at all quickly or decisively. After all, it's only the long-foreseen loss of democracy and freedom to a fascist autocracy that's at stake. One shouldn't act hastily.

Fuck. I don't wish death upon Biden or Trump, but... I can't help thinking that if one of them did pass, this country might have a fighting chance.

Or if both of them did, from natural causes, before the election. It might have its upsides.

Harris would crush Vance in a general election, I bet
