Rules
AI Art: While we appreciate AI generated art, there are more appropriate communities to post that type of art to. Please keep posts to non-AI generated art only. This rule includes AI art that was then manually manipulated (e.g. drawing on top of something generated by AI).
Nudity: Nudity is and has always been a part of art, but it may be something that some users don't wish to see or cannot view in certain circumstances (e.g. at work). If your work contains nudity, please mark it as NSFW. Work that contains nudity that is not marked as NSFW will be taken down. As long as the NSFW tag is used, we welcome nude subject matter.
Spam: Please do not spam this community. Self promotion is fine if you just want people to be aware of your work, but blatant attempts at spam will result in the past being removed and possibly a ban. If you aren't sure if what you are posting is spam, please contact the moderator first.
Conduct: Be nice, and don't be a jerk. Constructive criticism is OK, but don't be mean. Encouragement is always welcomed.
Thank you!
I just developed it over the past few weeks so that's actually really nice to hear because I've been skeptical about how it will be received.
Are you on Pixelfed? Or somewhere else? I want to follow you.
Most of he modern internet is super commercial and seems to just gobble up everything that gets near it so I make an effort to keep my real, tangible, life in interactive, "meat space," as much as possible.
That said, I didn't know about Pixelfed. Also, I guess I didn't consider people far away actually wanting to see what I'm doing lol. I appreciate the suggestion. If I start an account, I can DM you if you'd like. The Fediverse is just so fantastic and may make the Net fun to use again, I love it.
Its true, I have been looking for genuine things, being movies, art or technology for a while now. It looks your where sharing something you are passionate about and your art somewhat ressembles what my godmother used to engrave on wood for me, so I thought I could follow you to see more since I'm have not been to my godmother's workshop for a long time. So if your ever make an account or a website please send it to me.
Did you use one of those pentel Japanese brush pens?
No, I'm not a fan of those, actually. The brush fibers are way too limp, so I feel like I have no control like I'm drawing with a wet noodle.
EDIT: Actually, I'm not sure. I thought you were talking about one of these, which are just terrible.
Here's what I used (tried to get detail of the brush fibers and name). I get them from a local art store. Maybe they are a cheap knock off of a Pentel or something, I can't find them online.
The brush fibers are really stiff and nice, but the ink quality is not great, so I will probably move on, honestly. I'd love to know if you have any experience/opinions about any of them.
