Should I be using a controller, a keyboard, or something else? I heard that it was developed for PC, has that remained the better UI?

If I had to pick one and only one, I would pick controller. But if I could use a mix, I would fly with controller and everything else with KB&M.

That's what I do. I pick up the controller when getting into my ship. The transition makes it feel more real (if only slightly).

I personally prefer controller, but both work fine.

I’ve used both KBM and controller and I dont think there’s a huge difference. Flying is way more smooth on controller in my opinion and the game doesn’t have so many hot keys that a keyboard is necessary.

But the best way, in my opinion, is in VR. Using a Quest 2 with Steam VR, this is probably the best VR game I have played. And that uses the oculus controllers

It depend how you feel more confortable. Keyboard and mouse is good if you are used to them, same thing for the controller.

I personally use KB&M and tried a controller once, in the end I didn't see any particular difference between the two choices.

Keyboard and trackpad on my laptop as god intended. Or my mx ergo if I'm feeling fancy.
