In response, South Korea blared anti-Pyongyang broadcasts through its border loudspeakers on June 9 for the first time in six years

This literally sounds like the international version of two petty neighbors fighting while trying to not break their HOA contracts

Well on the brightside I would rather they be doing this instead of shooting at each other

While wearing suicide vests

A very apt descriptions

Seems like an interesting way (for a evil person) to get rid of nuclear waste, send it up in a balloon and where it lands is their problem. Nobody has the balls to wipe out NK even though I'm sure it would only be a small speed bump.

That would be to be a huge balloon to do anything appreciable, both to your enemy and also the stockpile of waste you have

[–] werefreeatlast@lemmy.world 7 points 4 months ago

No truce! They just want the truce so they can build more balloons!

Scrap paper? It isn't propaganda or anything? They're just sending over scrap paper? What the hell are they doing over there?

[–] BoxerDevil@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

Just trying to get rid of their trash.

They cannot afford wasting propaganda on the "Enemy", they need it to keep the starving population under control.

On the other hand: How can they afford those balloons?

[–] Shawdow194@kbin.run 3 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I wonder why they are sending the balloons

Trebuchets just don't have the same range.
