To whoever finds this new community, welcome!
I thought I would start this community off by sharing my favourite app and podcasts and would invite you to do the same.
I've been an Android user for many, many years now so I've been through every podcast app there is. The one I always come back to though, is Podcast Addict. The dev is really responsive, hard-working and listens to the community. The app itself has just an insane amount of features and anything you can think of is generally possible. I also like Podcast Republic and PocketCasts but they might be better suited to people who don't want to tinker as much and get everything little thing working as they like.
I go through new podcasts constantly so my favourites do change a lot, however, at the moment these are my favourites.
- Last Podcast On The Left - They're a comedy true-crime/ paranormal/ weird stuff/ gory history podcast. They've been around a long time now and I always go back to them.
- Chilluminati - This one is very similar to LPOTL but they do a lot of new conspiracies (the fun kind not the poisonous kind) and internet mysteries which I enjoy. They also have a slightly different dynamic in that two of the guys are believers and one is a sceptic.
- Swinded - Swindled is a true crime podcast but it handles exclusively blue-collar crime, so shady business dealings, human rights violations, scams etc. It's really informative and really well written.
- All Systems Goku - I'm not a huge anime fan but I love Dragon Ball. This series has been finished a while now but it's worth going back to every now and then. It's two comedians watching DBZ for the first time.
- Retronauts - Admittedly, I haven't listened to this one in a while but it's a great retro gaming podcast with great hosts and guests.
- You're Wrong About - A really fun and informative podcast about subjects and topics the public usually has a take on that might not be the entire truth.
Anyway! Welcome to the community and I can't wait to read everyone's replies!
The Cool Zone Media (the maker of Behind the Bastards) podcasts are all great, as well as the guests they bring on.
If you've not listened yet, the original episodes of It Could Happen Here (ep's 1-6, from 2019) are a must listen in our current political climate, despite how grim and somewhat prophetic they can be.
