Take the moral high ground, which will lead to his demise.

Bonus edgy comic idea:

Panel 1: The scene from The Revenge of the Sith, where Obi-Wan got the high ground, but instead, Obi-Wan says "It's over Anakin, I've got the moral high ground!".

Panel 2: Obi-Wan drops his lightsaber.

Panel 3: Anakin cuts off Obi-Wan's limbs in a single move.

Panel 4: The horribly mutilated body of Obi-Wan is shown in a torture machine.

The difference between Obi-wan and the Democratic Party is that Obi-wan was willing to take difficult paths and challenge his enemies as they needed to be challenged.
